Alternate Nostril Breathing for health

I started using my oils with alternate nostril breathing about 2 years ago.

It started innocently enough with Thieves because I was trying to improve my health and thwart a booger….

It worked.

Then I used peppermint to oxygenate and enliven…..

It worked.

Then I used it in prayer and meditation….

It really was beautiful.

Then I used my emotional oils to help me navigate BIG feelings….

It worked.

Then I started teaching all my friends…..

Alternate Nostril Breathing ….with oils

Alternate nostril breathing is super easy to practice and for it’s ease it blesses us with many benefits. It is a great technique to practice before prayer, yoga or meditation….. or really any time quite frankly. I have. Even know to do it at stoplights to pass the time. You can also use it right before an important meeting or before going to sleep to prime your rest. Alternate nostril breathing leaves your brain feeling balanced and ready for dynamic activity or deep rest. It really meets you where you need it no matter what.

I even have a friend who had a stroke years ago who was able to reactivate many important functions with this simple technique. So there are no limits to where this mindfulness breath practice can take you.

With great possibilities….

-Place one to two drops of your favorite oil in your palms taking care to not get it on your finger pads or thumbs.

  • Start by placing your hands close to your nose.

-1-Breathe in the left nostril while intentionally breathing in the oil on the palm while also closing the right nostril with the thumb of the right hand.

-2-Breathe out the right nostril while closing the left nostril with the left thumb pad.

-3-Breath in the right nostril only while intentionally breathing in the oil on the palms.

-4-Breathe out the left nostril while closing the right nostril with the right thumb pad.

This is ONE cycle.

I usually do 7-11 cycles depending on my desired outcome. I sometimes do this a few times a day.
