We have been making a blend of raw local honey and homemade ghee for many years to help us navigate the colder months.

Every August or September I make a batch of homemade ghee to stir together with my latest favorite honey. I place half ghee and half honey in a wide mouthed jar and place it in my supplement cabinet. Any time we fell like either everyone around us has the gunk or we notice a tickle we do what we call a “honey bomb”
My favorite fall or winter honey bomb has
4 drops of Thieves
4 drops of lemon essential oil
Our favorite spring time or pollen season honey bomb has
2 drops lemon
2 drops peppermint
2 drops lavender
But really the seasons are endless….
You can use the honey bomb base for anything or you can use it just by itself. A spoonful of ghee alone has so many things it can help with.
Here are a few :
Anti-inflammatory
Improved digestion,
Support for heart health
Rich content of healthy fats and vitamins. (Especially if it sourced well…. Grass fed)
enhance skin health
Boosts metabolism
Helps body lose weight
Builds fourth phase water in body (this is a literal superpower)
Boosts energy
Reduces allergies
Improves eye health due to bioavailability of Vit A
Boosts overall immune function
Lactose & casin free
Good source of Vit K (You can eat as much calcium as you want but it won’t strengthen your bones unless it is accompanied by vitamin K2.)
Improves brain function

It is super simple to make just go watch a little video on YouTube and you are off and running. My favorite way to ensure I have removed all the milk solids is to put the warmed ghee in a gallon bag and cut the smallest corner off the bag. I drain out the heavier solids and then fill my jar with the warmed golden elixir.
