Gluten free almond flour biscuits

Oh yes, these are good! Do you have one of those foods that sometimes just calls to you? Well, being from the south, my deep roots in soul food sometimes compels me to eat ham… Salty ham… Smithfield ham. But how can you eat ham without biscuits? Well, most biscuits are made with glutinous flour. And anyone who has kept up with my thoughts on gluten knows that I do not eat it. So I have taken a few recipes and melded them together into the perfect gluten-free biscuit. I hope that you enjoy them as much as we are!

Almond flour is high in protein and many essential nutrients.

Gluten Free Almond Flour Biscuits – 350′ preheat oven

  • 1/2 tsp. Himalayan salt (any salt will work)
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. baking powder
  • 6 T melted butter
  • 1 T honey
  • 2 tsp. coconut milk (milk, yogurt or almond milk will work)
  • 1 large egg

Mix the first four ingredients. Then mix the next three ingredients together.Blend the wet with the dry. Next, add the egg. Use a small ice cream scoop to form biscuits on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Gently press the top down with a fork.  Bake until light brown on top, about 15ish minutes. Serve with love!
