I’m often inspired by pictures that I see of food. I’m also a healthy foodie and absolutely love making something in my kitchen that will impart love to everyone who eats it. I saw the color of picked red onions & was instantly swooning. Within 2 minutes I had started cutting onions & throwing together this quick but incredible recipe.
Pickled Red Onions
- 2 large organic red onions sliced
- One cinnamon stick
- 1/3-1/2 c ACV (only Braggs)
- 1/8 c organic lime juice
- One bay leaf
- 6 whole cloves
- Pinch of Himalayan salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar or coconut sugar
Combine all ingredients except onions in pan to warm & get spices activated. Then pour over onions. Toss here & there for a few hours. The onions pretty much just macerate in the liquid. Pack into glass jars & refrigerate.
