I was thinking about this the other day on my rollerblade…… My quiet time 🙂
When was the last time you were really bored? With all of the busyness of our modern lifestyle the allure of boredom sounds pretty good doesn’t it? I remember being a kid, and when boredom struck, that is when the wheels of imagination and wonder started to turn. I would turn boredom into a week long project with a beautiful accomplishment at the end. I would build, create, dismantle, rebuild, plant, dig, sweat, ride, climb, run, discover … All in the name of BOREDOM.
How is this age of constant busyness, over-scheduling and lack of quiet time going to affect our evolution? How will it affect our children and their moments of divine inspiration? Where are the moments of so much quiet, that your inner wheels get unstuck? When these wheels of inner wisdom become unstuck how will that further our collective wisdom?
…This is what I think quiet retreats and meditation try to access
